Sneakpeek and Updates to come...

Alright, so I guess I haven't left this site entirely, LOL! (At least until my web consultant can finalize the changes on my regular site.)
Just wanted to let you know I haven't fallen off the wagon entirely...in fact, I am getting my color on with the story thus far--as I prepare for the San Diego Comic Con in two weeks! I was hoping to get Act two completed in time for the show, but Real Life decided to take me away from that goal for a bit. I will be providing a sneak-preview up to page 15 or 16 to those of you attending this year's show, as well as taking pre-orders for MYTH #2 for those of you who choose to so.
(Along with some other "goodies" I'm making available at this year's con.)

I have about 17 or 18 more pages to complete to wrap up this Act, which I will most likely have available in time for this year's Folsom Street Fair. (*Happy Dance*)
What this means for the regular site is that I'll have very consistent updates from now on, updating the site twice weekly, Mondays and Fridays starting on July 20th.

I'm incredibly excited about the remainder of this issue, and look forward to being able to share it with the rest of you! Getting this far ahead gives me A LOT of breathing room for the upcoming MYTH #3 and another project that may actually see the light of day sooner rather than later, LOL!

It's Done...Finally!

I am so happy I could cry---really. I have had such a challenge getting this new site up and going. But it's done. It's still a little "raw" for me...but it's a start. And one, I guarantee will get better with time. Anywho...this'll be the last "Blog" at this site, since one of the new features has blogging and commenting built into it. Go check it out...feedback on ways to improve the site are always, always welcome.

Oh, and I'll keep this bit of "news" up for a little longer...just to make certain everyone who visits here is aware of the changes that have taken place.

The Woes of Websites...

Alright. Here is what will most likely be my second to last posting via this blog (as the new site will allow me to blog and share my work in a much more stream-lined way). They delays while unforeseen---have been incredibly efficient with teaching me a little more patience and understanding in the process of business building, communication and details with regard to prospective work relations. An example of this? (I won't bore you with every detail but...)I wasn't able to properly solidify my original merchant account all because this particular company wouldn't allow me to use their service because of the content of my work. Something, they decided to make me aware of mere hours away from the Rated-Z shops completion.

Then there's the site mechanics themselves---I knew there would be a learning curb for the process of "how" everything works, but the file challenges with the art was slowly bringing me down...mainly because I had the impression it would be a lot more intuitive than it actually turned out to be.

Things are much better as off tonight and as I live and breath, I most definitely learn. The Artist in me has been kicking and screaming in protest at the interruption of my creative process.
Ever wishing to deny the Businessman part of me that is slowly grasping, slowly evolving towards where in my heart, I understand I need to be to fully live my dream of sustaining myself in every possible way through my art.

Annoying yes, but incredibly necessary.

Once the last of these web-site challenges are out of the way, the sit will be going live. It could happen as soon as tomorrow, or as late as Friday. Given my current work flow, I expect things to be up sooner rather than later.

Slight Delay...

Hey Guys n' Gals! I am sooo sorry for the delay with kicking things off. We're having a bit of trouble with images not showing up along with a few technical issues to resolve regarding the online store. I'm hoping we can correct things before Friday evening--so keep your fingers crossed. Fortunately, I've got some assistance this time around so hopefully, we can get things up to full-speed by the weekend....stay tuned.

Official Kick-Off Date...

Hey Guys n' Gals!
Just wanted to send you this quick announcement that the first issue of MYTH will be available for purchase by November 14th. I approved the final proof yesterday, and I am very happy and excited about look, feel and new format of the book.
I've made some adjustments to the size of the book, which is now 10"x8" as well as adjusting the page layouts and even adding a page (seen above) that I think works with the overall flow of the first book and further connects this issue with the black and white MYTH book from 2005.
Sales will be made directly from the rated-z site, and between creative duties on MYTH #2 I'm also working on updating the site to a Wordpress format. So, given this news--I've decided to make the official kick-off of the next MYTH story as well.

So, mark your calendars--November 14th, will be here before you know it. :)

The Cover for MYTH #2

Hey Guys n' Gals!
Just wanted to share what's been going on here at Rated-Z Studios. MYTH officially has a printing home, which means I'll be able to finally release MYTH #1 to all of you eager fans! (queue thunderous cheering--LOL!) The first issue has been reformatted for the new size for final print. ("10 x 8" ) And I am adding the finishing touches which will include the cover of the forthcoming second issue, which I decided to share with the rest of you here. :)

If you're wondering just who these individuals are flanking your favorite Vampire, Donjovan--I'll fill you in on their names for the time being--from left to right: Xabat, Uugo, Donjovan (center), Phaedris and Nazuri.

These beings are apart of "Team: Donjovan" and they will be making life hard and "harder" for V'riel and the others.

I'm also in the midst of upgrading the Rated-Z site to accommodate all the changes I have in store, especially with the coming of direct sales of the MYTH book from the site. Which also means I'll be making some decisions about how much of the story you'll actually see on the site. The goal is to keep you interested and wanting more, as sales will be key in future books being printed, etc.

I'm going to attempt to add a polling feature to get more feedback from you the readers for the direction of the site, in addition, with the format changes coming, this blog will most likely go defunct, as the site will have features that will be very blog-like for your feedback and interactions.

I'm not sure how soon, I'll have the new site ready (I'm shooting for a date sometime in early November, if not sooner), especially, since the creative chores with the new book is keeping me busy. I'm going for simple, and this new format allows me quite a bit more freedom in that regard, web-wise.

More things, still to come--so stay tuned!
